Default Using PFF for fantasy football research

Here's a few ways to use the PFF website for fantasy football preparation:

#1 - you can see a player's snap count to project their #'s with a larger role in the future.

#2 - you can create advanced stat's with all the different numbers PFF provides (like missed tackle percentage for WRs OR fantasy points per target). How about finding out a quarterback's true accuracy by taking out dropped balls and throw aways from their total attempts? It really can change the rankings.

I also think trends are helpful. To tell who came on when, and who only played well against poor defenses, and such. I like the bar graphs, as a simpler way to see consistency, and if a player wore down, and players on the rise, and such. I.E., MJD and Adrian Peterson didn't play as well late in the season despite very strong starts, while Chris Johnson and Jamaal Charles only improved.

The format is more useful than say, espn or nfl.com, and is quicker to load too.

In terms of accurate tackle counts and hits and pressures, there's some real value in terms of what we can offer in an IDP.

As well as a game where offensive lineman have value based on their protection/ run blocking.

The problem is we do our stats retrospectively, which improves the accuracy to what you see on NFL.com, but means they take a week before fully complete? Would people be prepared for stats to trickle out through the week in an anticipatory manner?

I wonder how Charles will draft. Is he as good as he seemed the last half of the season? He had over 1000 yards in 9 games, on a bad team. Is he a first round pick in say a 12-team league, or do you think he will last till the second round?

Months later, we have an answer to this question. He's going early in round 2 in most 12-team drafts. Man, do I ever love his upside. He's just inside my top 10 RBs.

Yes, very high on Jamaal Charles in 2010. Don't buy into the hype on Thomas Jones atop the Chiefs' depth chart at RB

Charles - PFF #4 RB in 2009 (14.8)
