- Chicago Bears selected quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with its first-round pick in the draft after trading up one spot to the No. 2 overall spot on Thursday night.
- Trubisky was a one-year starter, but was highly productive in his limited time on the field and showed the ability to make full-field progressions.
- When blitzed, Trubisky had an adjusted completion percentage of 76.9 percent, the third-highest percentage in the draft class.
- Had the sixth-highest passer rating (119.0) in the nation on deep passes targeted 20-plus yards downfield.
- Trubisky is undoubtedly the quarterback of the future for the Bears, but he may still sit as a rookie after Chicago signed Mike Glennon in free agency.
- Glennon has played just 15 snaps over the past two seasons, and in his year as a starter in 2013, his 72.1 overall grade ranked 31st in the NFL.
