- After being recruited to Virginia Tech as a defensive end, Wyatt Teller was moved to the offensive line during the preseason of his 2013 redshirt season. Needless to say, that has worked out for him, and the Hokies.
- In 2016, Teller posted a PFF grade of 89.3 which was tops among all ACC guards and No. 6 among guards who are returning in 2017.
- Teller's pass-blocking stood out in 2016, posting a career-best pass-blocking efficiency of 98.8. That figure was No. 1 among ACC guards who logged at least 200 snaps in pass-protection.
- With a PFF grade of 89.1 in run blocking, Teller clearly made his presence known in that regard as well. In their 59 rushing attempts behind him in 2016, the Hokies averaged 4.6 yards per carry, a large improvement from 2015 where the Hokies averaged 3.8 yards on 56 attempts behind Teller.
