Welcome to the Week 16 edition of Snaps, Pace, & Stats, where we examine trends in snap totals and no-huddle usage. It is meant to be a 30,000-foot view of upcoming games, with the goal of identifying which matchups will – and which will not – be played on fertile fantasy soil.
(For brevity’s sake, all references to pass or run rates/percentages are in terms of neutral game situations. Unless otherwise stated, we will reference one-score situations (plus/minus seven points) to get a truer representation of game plan.)

Pittsburgh Steelers at Houston Texans
One of two Christmas Day games to wrap up fantasy championship week should deliver both points and play volume. The Steelers average the fourth-most snaps (66.8), with even more over the last month (70.3). During that time, they’ve scored the sixth-most points per game (29.3) and surrendered the third-most (28.3). Pittsburgh has thrown at the league’s highest rate over the last four weeks (67 percent) and their opponents have passed against them at the seventh-highest (61-percent). With Antonio Brown out, a huge slice of what should be a large pie is up for grabs.
