Which teams have the most intriguing teammate fantasy WRs?

A team’s No. 1 wide receiver has a much greater chance at top-tier fantasy production. Last season, 16 teams saw a 30 percent or more drop in yardage when comparing the No.1 wide receiver on a team to the No. 2.

In 2016, only four teams supported two 1,000-plus yard wideouts and only one team supported two double-digit touchdown performances at the position. Those are approximately the same totals as each of the last five years.

Therefore, you need to target situations that bode well for the No. 2 option on the team. That’s where you’ll find depth. Here are some fruitful situations to consider when deciding who to draft.

Elite

Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos

The Broncos wide receiver duo is the best in the league. These two players have the highest floors at the position. Thomas and Sanders have both gone over the 1,000-yard mark in each of their three years playing together. Thomas also was a part of a 1,000-yard duo with Eric Decker the two years prior to Sanders’ arrival. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Thomas is currently getting drafted as the 18th wide receiver off the board, even though he is the only wideout with 1,000-plus yards in each of his last five seasons. He did that with record-breaking play from Peyton Manning. And he did that with erratic play from Trevor Siemian (and Brock Osweiler and Peyton Manning, frankly).
