- The Cleveland Browns have signed first round pick Jabrill Peppers as the team heads into training camp, completing their rookie class.
- Peppers was a jack of all trades at Michigan and remains a very raw defensive prospect, but he earned an overall PFF grade of 83.0 or higher in each of the past two seasons.
- Peppers spent 97.0 percent of his snaps against the run last season within eight yards of the line of scrimmage, while even run-defending box safeties at the NFL level are typically twenty percentage points lower than that, so his potential as a deeper coverage player at the next level will be tested as he is asked to do things he hasn't been yet in his career.
