Johnson says he wants 30 touches a game

  • On SiriusXM NFL Radio in an interview on Sunday, David Johnson reiterated he wants to handle 30 touches per game this season.
  • Johnson saw an increased workload last season and he only became more effective. He finished the season with an 87.8 overall grade – third among running backs.
  • The former Northern Iowa Panther specifically excelled in the passing game so much so that he won PFF’s best receiver award in 2016.
  • Johnson was so excellent as a receiver that Arizona lined him up 20.6 percent of his snaps in the slot or out wide, Johnson averaged 1.73 yards per route run – third among running backs. He also earned the second-best receiving grade PFF has given to a RB since 2006 at 92.7.
