  • Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew luck told the Indianapolis Star that he still hasn’t started throwing but is “feeling better and better every week.” The Colts remain uncertain when the quarterback will return after having had major surgery in his throwing shoulder to repair his labrum this offseason, but they are optimistic he’ll be ready for week one.
  • Last season Luck achieved an overall PFF grade of 92.4, which was the highest of his career and ranked fourth among all quarterbacks. This was following the 2015 season where Luck was hampered with injuries and graded as the second lowest quarterback with an overall PFF grade of 44.9, which was the worst of his career.
  • If his shoulder isn't 100% he may not be able to replicate his superb results in the Colts downfield passing attack. Luck had a passer rating of 115.1 on deep passes (20+ yards downfield) which ranked seventh and an adjusted completion percentage of 54.1 which ranked fourth on deep passes last season. He tied for first with 39 completions on such passes and threw for 11 touchdowns which was only beat by Ben Roethlisberger, who threw 13.
