  • According to Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice, Philadelphia Eagles edge defender Marcus Smith is owed a $594,000 roster bonus on the third day of camp. Smith voluntarily missed all of OTAs, and was subsequently buried on the depth chart. Kempski expects the Eagles to release him before the bonus is due.
  • Smith has failed to grade above 60 in any season thus far in his career, receiving his lowest grade in 2016 with a mark of 48.1. His 2016 grade ranks last among current Eagles edge defenders who saw the field last season.
  • Although his pass rush snaps have increased (and pass rush percentage of total snaps) from year to year, Smith has seen his pass rushing productivity decrease each year.
