- According to Raiders beat writer Jimmy Durkin, the team has signed three players including RB John Crockett, an undrafted free agent who last saw regular season action in 2015 with the Packers.
- Crockett's NFL career is just 16 regular season snaps old, but he has 164 preseason snaps to his name since entering the league, having played around 80 preseason snaps in each of the past two seasons.
- During that time he has averaged just 2.2 yards per carry after contact (3.6 total) and broken only five tackles on 51 attempts.
- As a receiver though, he has caught 17 of the 18 passes thrown his way, broken four tackles on those receptions, and averaged 8.3 yards per reception after the catch, representing a far better skill set in that area.
