- The Baltimore Ravens have signed WR Griff Whalen. The Ravens signed the veteran receiver the same day he was brought in for a workout.
- Whalen saw just 131 snaps with the Chargers last season. The total was the second lowest of his career, although his snap percentage (snaps played divided by possible snaps played) was the second highest of his career (23.4 percent).
- Since Whalen's 2013 season where he received 49 targets, there has been just one other season in which he has seen more than four targets. That year, 2015, Whalen recorded zero drops on 25 targets. Whalen also ran the second highest percentage (88.4 percent) of his routes from the slot that year (minimum 100 routes).
