  • Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune believes that New Orleans Saints first-round rookie Ryan Ramczyk is “the most likely candidate” to fill the left tackle spot that has been vacated by the injured Terron Armstead.
  • Ramczyk was taken with the 32nd overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft, and was the highest offensive tackle on PFF’s draft board entering the draft. On his 364 pass blocking snaps in 2016, Ramczyk surrendered just 12 pressures and achieved a pass blocking efficiency of 97.5, which ranked 12th of 79 draft-eligible offensive tackles.
  • The Saints will hope that Ramczyk can carry his game over to the NFL. In the 2016 college season, his overall grade of 85.0 ranked second of all draft eligible offensive tackles and his 84.6 run-blocking grade ranked first.
