TE Jake Butt likely to suit up at some point in 2017 for the Broncos

  • After falling in the 2017 Draft due to torn ACL in Michigan's bowl game this past December, Broncos head coach Vance Joseph told ESPN he expects tight end Jake Butt to play at some point in 2017.
  • Butt wasn't asked to do much vertically in his senior season at Michigan, but he was efficient. His 1.99 yards per route run in 2016 was eighth amongst draft eligible tight ends.
  • In 2015, Butt was also one of the most sure handed tight ends across the country. With one drop out of 52 catchable targets, his drop rate of 1.92% ranked third among qualifiers who had 50 or more passes thrown their way that season.
